Ethel Pittman
July 30, 1930 – December 4, 2021

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ethel Pittman of Rocky Harbour announce her passing on December 4th, 2021, at Corner Brook Long Term Care at the age of 91 years.

Left to mourn with treasured loving memories are her daughter Joyce (Oswald) and her son Larry (Cathy); grandchildren Charles (Angie), Jillian (Paul), Dawn (Rodney), and Graham (Alicia); great grandchildren Grace, Cameron, Ilias, Aela, Ahnah, Tessa, Ava, and Rhys; sisters Betty Dyke-Sparkes and Mae Perry, brothers Llewellyn Shears (Ivy), Walter Shears (Dot), Irving Shears (Dallis) and a large circle of nieces and nephews.

Ethel was predeceased by her husband Curtis; parents Violet and Gordon Shears; sisters Mona and Linda; brothers Scott and Gordon; son in law Gilbert Davis.

Ethel was born and raised in Rocky Harbour. She was a long-term member of St. Matthew’s Anglican Women as well as the local Canadian Red Cross.

Our heartfelt thanks to the staff of Corner Brook Long Term Care.

There will be no visitation at this time. Cremation has taken place and a Service of Celebration will be held at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to St. Matthew’s Anglican Church Memorial Fund, Rocky Harbour, NL.
