It is with great sadness that the family of the late Samuel Elson announce his passing on December 6th, 2021, at the long-term care facility at the Labrador Health Center at the age of 92. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his children Shirl Elson, Lincoin Elson (Victoria Lee Elson), Brenda Elson (Alec Trimm), Perry Elson, Peter Elson (Sherry Davis), Kelly Elson, David Elson (Caroline Semigak Elson); grandchildren Jason, Perry, Marty Lee, Samantha, Tyrone, Sherry Lee, Selina, Tony, Shannon, Justin, Scott, Quinn, Taylor, Brian, Ashley, Brittany, Madison, Shawna, Amanda, As well as a large circle of nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends. Samuel was predeceased by his wife Caroline Elson; son Brian Elson, Rhonda Joy Elson, and Tony Elliott Elson. 

Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home on December 7th, 2021, from 7-9. The funeral service will be held on December 8th, 2021, at St. Andrew's Anglican Church at 2 p.m. with Reverend Amber Tremblett officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery in Happy Valley Goose Bay.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Labrador Friendship Center Food Bank. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of long-term care and the many friends that have become family.
