Willis Goulding
June 12, 1951 – December 15, 2021
Corner Brook, NL
The family of Willis (Bill) Goulding is saddened to announce his passing. He was surrounded by his wife of almost 50 years, Joanne (Davis) and daughters Melanie (Chris Callahan) and Penny (Andrew Burke). His grandchildren, Jill, Graham, Charlie and Holly were the light of his life. He was blessed with a large, loving family including Naomi, Clarence (Bud) (Patricia), Shirley (Gus Pieroway), Audrey, Susan (Alexander Park), Thomas (Muriel), Olive (Frederick Oake) and Wade (Edna). The Davis family, Edgar, Elizabeth (Clayton Reid), Harry (Doris), Dorothy, Muriel (Thomas Goulding), Robin (Deborah), Cynthia (David Brown), William (Jody), David, and Caroline (Darrell Neil), were also incredibly dear and important to him. Bill was predeceased by his mother Eliza, father Willis and sister Ruby. He also leaves to remember him a large circle of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Bill cherished his childhood spent in the ‘Boom’ and spoke frequently with joy about those times. Decades spent with his family at their cabin property were the best days of his life, until the day he became a grandfather, a role he adored.
He will be remembered as a man who loved to laugh and be with his family (many of whom were his best friends), and valued the gift of a long life that he was provided. He was also a man who shared an incredible, unbreakable bond with his wife, which demonstrated to his daughters the importance of a strong and loving marriage.
Granting his wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends and family may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Friday from 2-4 PM. Vax pass, Identification and mask are required. A private burial will take place
