VIOLET FRANCIS Corner Brook, NL February 9th, 1954 - August 22nd, 2009 Passed away peacefully at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Saturday, August 22nd, 2009 Violet Francis at the age of 55 years. She will be sadly missed by her common law husband Frank Taylor, daughters: Lana (Rodney) and Tara (Kaleb), grandchildren: Kyle, Victoria and Ethan, sisters: Beatrice Peddle, Linda Giles and Delilah Francis (Derek), brothers: John Francis (Emma) and Gordon Francis (Elaine), Frank’s daughter Diane (John) and son Dale (Cindy). She had numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and will be sadly missed by her aunt Gertie Targett and aunt Violet Johnson. She was predeceased by her parents John and Lucretia Francis, sister Bertha, brothers Derek and Harold, brothers-in-law Glen Peddle and Kevin Giles. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Monday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will take place at Humber United Church, Clarence Street on Tuesday, August 25th at 11:00 AM, Rev. Kathy Brett and Rev. Derek Thomas officiating. Cremation to follow at Humber Valley Crematorium with the interment on Wednesday, August 26th at 11:00 AM at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers will be greatly appreciated or donations may be made to the Humber United Church or All Saints’ Anglican Church, Clarence Street.
