Eric John Wells

October 4, 1950 – January 9, 2022

 

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Eric John Wells announce his passing on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 71 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his son Jeffrey (Stephanie) Slaney, Ontario; granddaughter Addison, Ontario; sisters: Nina Piercey, Irishtown and Katherine Wells (Levi Patey), Corner Brook; brother Neville Wells (Caroline), Nova Scotia; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Alvina Wells; brothers Gilbert Wells, Wilbert Wells (Alfreda), Lloyd Wells (Madeline) and Noble Wells (Jenny), sisters Beatrice Payne (Edgar), Verna Bailey, Mercedes Wells and Sylvia Demone, brother-in-law James Piercey and special uncle Fred Wells. A special thank you to all the Doctors, nurses and staff at Western Memorial Regional Hospital 4th floor. Cremation has taken place. Due to Covid-19 Government Regulations a private family service will be held on at Fillatre’s Funeral Chapel, St. Mark’s Avenue on Thursday, January 13 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Tanya White officiating to a maximum of 25 people. Vaccine Passports, ID and Face masks required for entry. Interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Daffodil Place.
