Obituary of Helen Rose Doreen Curl
Helen Rose Doreen Curl (nee Bradley)
October 16, 1942 – January 14, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a dear wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, Helen Curl, on January 14, 2022 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Home at the age of 79 years. Helen was raised in Indian Cove, Labrador, moved to St. John’s, and later settled and raised her family in Corner Brook. Indian Cove and her family remained close in her heart and mind.
Helen will be remembered and loved by her husband of 57 years, Ralph, and her 3 children, Michele (Jorge Castillo), Welland, ON, Michael (Terri), Massey Drive and Sarah (Geoff Power), Mississauga, ON.
She is survived and missed by her 4 siblings, Ralph Bradley, Linda Bradley, Joan Wheeler and Carl (Joyce) Bradley and many brother- and sisters-in-law on the Curl side. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Kevin, Jordie and Kathie Castillo and Bradley and Jonathan Curl, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Helen was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Lucy (nee Stone) Bradley, and parents in-law, Solomon and Florence (nee Poole) Curl.
The family would like to thank all those who reached out at this difficult time. Special thanks to the many nurses and staff at Corner Brook Long Term Care who were so kind to Helen over the last few years.
To honour Helen’s wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to a charity of one's choice. No service is scheduled or planned.
