KEEPING SARAH (Nee King) 	 It is with great sadness that we the family of the late Sarah Keeping announce her passing on Wednesday, August 26th, 2009 at the Charles LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques in her 89th year. A dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur Keeping, parents Andrew and Rachel King, son Chester Keeping, grandson Godfrey keeping, great-granddaughter Lisa Hatcher, brothers Norman, James, Raleigh, Thomas and Eric King, sisters Rita and Holly King and daughter-in-law Florence Keeping. She leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories sons: John (Linda) Keeping of Burnt Island, Arthur (Kate) Keeping of Burnt Island and Eric (Frances) Keeping of Glace Bay, NS; daughter-in-law Violet Keeping of Eastern Passage; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and a wide circle of family and friends. Visitation took place on Thursday and Friday at St. George’s Anglican Church in Burnt Island from where the funeral service was held on Saturday, August 29th at 2:00 PM with Rev. George Critchell officiating. Interment followed at the Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port aux Basques.
