Obituary of Kathleen Patey

Kathleen Patey (nee Samson)
January 21, 1949 – January 20, 2022

It is with great sadness the family of the late Kathleen Patey announce her passing on January 20, 2022, at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre at Port Saunders at the age of 72 years.

She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 53 years Loman, daughter Candace (Paul), son Marcel (Michelle), granddaughters; Hillary (Marc), Victoria (Nikolas), and Julia, great grand children Hudson and Addison, sisters; Bride Samson, Marjorie Patey, Dorcas Sheppard, Blanche (Donald) Card, brothers; Ralph (Marion) Samson, Bradley (Mary) Samson, brothers in law; Carl Patey, Wilfred (Vera) Patey, Roy (Muriel) Patey, Melvin Patey, sisters in law; Mae (Wade) Alley, Mildred (David) Hutchings, Marina Patey, Daphne (Vincent) Gouin, as well as a large circle of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Kathleen was predeceased by her daughter Violet Delinda, August 1969, parents Francis and Violet Samson, her brothers Walter and Albert Samson, father-in-law Levi Patey, mother and stepfather in law Grace and Roston Patey, niece Delphine Patey and best friend Faye Patey.

Visitation will take place at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, River of Ponds from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm on January 22, 2022. Vaccine Passports, ID, and face masks are required upon entry. There will be a maximum of ten people permitted to enter at a time. Funeral Service will be held at St. Peter’s Anglican Church at 2:00 pm on January 23, 2022, with Rev. Marie Smith officiating. Due to Covid-19 Government Regulations the Funeral service will be by invite only. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The funeral service will be recorded and uploaded to view through Fillatre Funeral Homes Ltd. Facebook page as soon as wifi/data becomes available.
