Obituary of Caroline Allingham
It is with saddened hearts that the family of the late Caroline Allingham annouce her passing on Wednesday January 26, 2022 at the Rufus Guinchard Health Centre, Port Saunders at the age of 90. She was a lady of many talents but her love for family showed in everything she done. She was a kind, caring individual who had a love for gardening. People who were blessed to know her came to love her.
She leaves to mourn her children: Daughter Betty (Wayne), Sons: Melvin (Rowena), Baxter (Rosemary), Sherman (Elaine); Daughter-in-Law Julia; Grandchildren: Leanne (Tim), Brock, Lauren (Dennis), Astra, Krystle, Destiny, Johnathan, Joshua (Janaye), Felicia, Gabrielle, Willie and Lucas; Great Grandchildren: Luca, Ella, Samuel, Jacob, Julianna, Benjamin, Anderson, Elsie-Rae and Mya; Sisters Doreen and Sophia, Brother Wilfred, Sister-in-Laws Sandra Chambers, Ursla Chambers; Brother-in-Law Calvin (Edna) Spence; A large group of Nieces, Nephews and close Friends.
Predeceased by her loving Husband Ralph; Parents Absalon and Elizabeth Chambers, Son Wayne; Sisters: Virginia, Jean, Ruth, and Stella; Brothers: Steadman, Winston and William. Brother-in-Laws: Roland Dredge, Bill Samson, Clifford Flynn and Clifford Spence. Sister-in-Law Jessie Chambers.
A special thank you is extended to the Staff of Lanes Retirement Home for their support and care over the past several months and to the staff at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre.
Visitation for Family and close friends will take place on Friday, January 28, 2022 at the Church of the Advent, Plum Point from 1pm - 4 pm. Vaxpass, Id, mask are required upon entry. There will be a maximum of 15 people permitted to enter at a time while maintaining social distancing.
Funeral Service will take place on Saturday 29, 2022 at the Church of the Advent, Plum Point from 10:30 am -11:30 am. Rev. Lorne Gosse Officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery in Pond Cove. Due to Covid regulations, the service will be by invitation only. Vaxpass, Id, mask and social distancing are required.
