Oral Robert Russell

September 28, 1971 – February 1, 2022

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Oral Russell announce his sudden passing on Tuesday February 1st, 2022 at the age of 50 years.  

Oral was a kind man, a loving son, husband and father. He loved the outdoors and camping, but his true love was family. His family meant everything to him.

He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 22 years Dianne; daughters: Hannah and Alex; parents: Jeanette and Harold Russell; sisters: Amy (Alan) Dell and Lori Lynn Russell; brother-in-law: Gordon (Jacqueline) Doman; sister-in-law Janice (Randall) Hobbs; niece: Grace Dell and nephew: Stephen Hobbs (Shannon and daughter Thea) as well as a large circle of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents Gladys and Clayton Gaulton / Clarice and John Russell and his parents-in-law Evelyn and Kenneth Doman. 

Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home 218 Curling Street on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In compliance with Covid-19 regulations,  a maximum of 15 people at a time, proof of vaccination and mask required for entry . A private funeral service by invitation only will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2022,  from Sonrise Church, with Pastor Cyril Rogers officiating. The funeral service will be livestreamed through Sonrise Ministres Facebook page or Youtube live. The interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. 

As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.
