Obituary of Toby Lawrence Lawless
Toby Lawrence Lawless
September 17, 1972 - February 3, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of our beloved Toby on Thursday, February 3rd, 2022.
Toby was the loving husband of 25 years to his wife, Marilyn, and devoted dad to son, Jeff, who was his pride and joy.
Toby was born and raised in Newfoundland. He always looked forward to trips home and enjoyed fishing with his dad and brother. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and had a zest for life that was incomparable. Always happy, outgoing and the life of the party. His laugh was infectious and he made friends everywhere he went. Toby loved summers at the camper and the occasional bottle of Labatt’s Blue. His yearly ski-doo trips were always a highlight. He could make a poor comedian feel good because he would always laugh at everything. He was terrible at telling jokes himself, but even then, the laughs were plentiful because of it. Toby was always there to lend a helping hand and never expected anything in return.
Toby leaves behind to mourn with fond and loving memories; his wife Marilyn, son Jeff, parents Catherine and Lawrence (Cassie and Obb) Lawless, brother and best friend, Andy (Jeannette) Lawless, two beautiful nieces, Charlee and Kaycee, grandfather Edmund, mother in-law, Geraldine Gaslard, sisters in law; Lucille (Kieran) O’Keefe, Selma (Clint) Billard, brothers in law, Dominic (Jennifer) and Rufus (Gayle) and a large circle of extended family and friends.
He was predeceased by his father in law, Joseph Gaslard, his grandmother, Irene Lawless, grandparents, John and Cecilia Galliott, uncle Maurice Lawless, aunts; Harriett Fennemore and Alice Galliott, and cousin John Taylor.
Toby was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
As an expression of sympathy donations may be made in Toby’s memory to the Janeway Children’s Hospital Foundation https://9643.thankyou4caring.org
