Alexander (Sandy) Hepditch

Point-Au-Mal NL

September 30, 1930 – February 8, 2022

It is with great sadness that the family of Sandy Hepditch announce his passing at 91 years of age. He passed peacefully in his home surrounded by family.

Sandy was born in Clattice Harbour NL before resettling to Point au Mal with his family as a young boy. He worked as a heavy equipment operator prior to his retirement in 1995.  Sandy loved a good game of poker, stretching the truth, and enjoying a good laugh with family and friends. Sandy’s wishes were to remain at home until his passing. This was possible due to dedication of his children. It was also due to the support of his daughter-in-law Verna, who meant the world to him. Sandy loved his family and will be dearly missed.

Sandy was predeceased by his wife (Freda), parents (David and Monica), and his siblings. Leaving to mourn with very loving memories are his 6 children: Rebecca Hynes (Terry), Wanetta White (Ken), Sharon Benoit (Larry), Marilyn Hewlin (Glen), Sandy Hepditch (Verna), and Richard Hepditch (Bev); 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Due to the current COVID 19 restrictions the funeral and visitation will be limited to family and close friends.
