December 4, 1945 – February 13, 2022

 It is with great sadness that the family of Robert James Bennett announce his passing at the Western Memorial Hospital, Corner Brook, NL on February 13, 2022, at the age of 76 years.

Robert leaves to mourn his wife of 50 years, Josephine Bennett; his children:  Neil Alexander (Marilyn), Mary Watkins, Joan Keating (Gerard), James Alexander, Mark Alexander, Darlene Compagnon; grandchildren:  Cheyanne, Jack Terra, Jason, Shane, Patrick, Stacey, Dominic, Stephen and Derek; his thirteen great-grandchildren; siblings:  Marilyn Young (Kevin) and Clarence Bennett.

He was predeceased by his son Robert Bennett, his parents Theresa Ryan and Robert Bennett Sr.

To honor Robert’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

Visitation, Wednesday, February 16, 2022, 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. t0 9:00 P.M.at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing. Vaxpas and ID will be needed at the door for entry.  Church service, Thursday, February 17, 2022, 10:00 A.M. from St. Joseph’s Parish, St. George’s with Fr. Edmund Dantes officiating.  Interment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Shallop Cove.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL.
