Julia Hillier (Decker)
August 4, 1934 – February 17, 2022
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Julia Hillier announce her passing on February 17, 2022, in Happy Valley-Goose Bay at the age of 87 years. Left to mourn with loving memories are her children Lloyd (Judy), Ivy, Sybil, Charlotte (Al), Brenda (John), Donna (Dana) and Doris (Jerry), 18 Grandchildren, 23 Great-grandchildren, 2 Great-great-grandchildren, Two sisters Eva and Nellie, as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and other relatives. Julia was predeceased by her husband Allen, daughter Joy, grandson Ashley, her parents Eric and Edna Decker, sisters Rhoda, Sybil, Dorcas and brothers Jerry and Lloyd.
Due to Covid restrictions a private by-invitation only service will be held at The Salvation Army Church in Happy Valley-Goose Bay. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted for the Helping Hands Committee at Happy Valley-Goose Bay Long Term Care Home. The family would like to thank the staff at Long Term Care for their support and kindness to our mom during the past 5 years.
