It is with great sadness, the family of Barry Thomas Davis, 61, of Lanse Amour, Labrador announce his passing on February 16, 2022 peacefully surrounded by family and friends at Charles Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony, NL.

Barry Thomas Davis was born on January 16th, 1961 to Dianna Davis (nee Normore) and Albert Davis of Lanse Amour, NL.

At the age of 18, he tragically lost his dad and became the man of the family. He then accepted responsibility for his mom and siblings. Barry started in the fishing industry at a very young age and continued until his passing. He was a man of many skills, and much patience who took great pride in his work. He always lend a helping hand to others. He also enjoyed the great outdoors.

In 1982, he married his High school sweetheart, Dale Letto. Together they raised two children in their hometown of Lanse Amour.

Barry will be forever missed by his loving wife Dale, of 39 years and his children Joy (Stacey) and Jordan (LeAnn). His grandchildren, Jayden, Jaylyn, Jake and Lauren, who were his pride and joy.

He will be fondly remembered by all his siblings, George (Audrey), Pauline (Bern Moores) Anthony (Caroline), Dona (Norman House) and Ada (Danny Hobbs) and His in-laws, Grenfell Letto (Donna), Marie (Manuel Letto), Marguerite (Norman Cutler), Nellie (Jim Parsons). He will be remembered with fond and loving memories, by all his nieces and nephews and dearest friends.

He is pre deceased by his father Albert, mother Dianna, and son Jeffrey.

The family would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the nurses and staff at the hospitals in Forteau and St. Anthony for the wonderful care delivered to Barry in the past few months. We will be forever grateful.

The funeral is to be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Lanse au Loup, on Monday, February 21, 2022 at 2 pm.

Due to COVID regulations, service will be by invitation only.
