Annie Josephine Ereaut

November 6, 1945 – February 20, 2022

 

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Annie Josephine (Spencer) Ereaut announced her sudden passing on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at the Calder Health Centre in Burgeo, NL at the age of 76 years old. Annie was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a strong, loving, caring, religious, and kindhearted woman who would help out anyone. She was a strong fighter trying to beat this lung cancer until the very end. She was predeceased by her loving husband, George Charles Ereaut of 49 years; her daughter, Peggy Ann Ereaut; her parents: Simeon and Josephine Spencer, her parents-in-laws: Philip and Mary Ereaut; sisters: Thelma Mercer, Vera Bagg, and Edith Remo; brothers: Cecil Spencer, Simeon Spencer, Frank Spencer, John Spencer, and Fred Spencer; sisters-in-law: Annie May Spencer, Muriel Spencer, and Johanne Ereaut; brothers-in-laws: Jim Simms, Emmanuel Young, Claude Dollimount, Nathan Bagg, William Mercer, Roy Ereaut, Amos Ereaut, William Guy, and Ernie Marsden. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Mary (Todd), Maisie (Jamie), Philip (Jennifer), Gail (Shawn), and Jeffrey (Tammy); her grandchildren: Michael, Stephanie, Devon, Dakota, Savannah, and Logan; her step-grandchildren Brooke, Bethann, and Brady; her sisters: Maizie (Norman) Ricketts, Doris (Gerald) MacDonald, Ruby (Jim), Beatrice (Frank) Gillingham, Marilyn (Frank) Lushman, Hilda (Mike), Louise Young, and Eileen Dollimount; her sisters-in-laws: Bernice Spencer, Eva Spencer, Melba Marsden and Maisie Guy; brother-in law: Ron Remo; her homecare workers: Gwen Green and Maisie Ingram; as well as a large circle of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. She will be greatly missed by the many lives she touched. Following Covid-19 Government Restriction Vaxpass is mandatory. Visitation will take place on Monday, Feb. 21, 2022 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm for immediate family; Feb 22 and 23 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm for family and friends at the St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church in Burgeo, NL from where the funeral service will take place on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2022 at 2:00 pm with Reverend Elsie Rose officiating. Interment to follow at the Burgeo Community Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Aunt Maizie, Aunt Doris, Uncle Norm, Aunt Ruby and Aunt Beatrice for being there for mom and calling to check on her every day. A special thanks to all of mom’s doctors and nurses for everything you did for mom. Your kindness and compassion will never be forgotten. Annie will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her
