It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marilyn (Spencer) Lushman announced her sudden passing on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at the Calder Health Centre in Burgeo, NL at the age of 67 years old. Marilyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a strong, loving, caring, and kindhearted woman who would help out anyone. She was a strong fighter trying to beat her illnesses until the very end. She was predeceased by her loving parents: Simeon and Josephine Spencer, her parents-in-law: Frank and Florence Lushman; sisters: Thelma Mercer, Vera Bagg, and Edith Remo, Annie Ereaut ; brothers: Cecil Spencer, Simeon Spencer, Frank Spencer, John Spencer, and Fred Spencer; sisters-in-law: Annie May Spencer, Muriel Spencer, Eva Barter Martha Jane Lushman and Beatrice J Lushman; brothers-in-laws: Jim Simms, Emmanuel Young, Claude Dollimount, Nathan Bagg, William Mercer, Edgar S. Lushman. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her loving husband of 50 years who never left her side, Frank; children: Kim, Charlene (Fabian), and Ashley (Warren); her grandchildren: Emily (Dylan), Jared, Dexter, Leia, and Eric, her sisters: Maizie (Norman) Ricketts, Doris (Gerald) MacDonald, Ruby (Jim), Beatrice (Frank) Gillingham, Hilda (Mike), Louise Young, and Eileen Dollimount; her sisters-in-law: Bernice Spencer, Eva Spencer, Laura (Leo) Kendall, and Harriet (Gerald) Young ; brothers-in-law: Ron Remo, Thomas (Debbie) Lushman, William (Catherine) Lushman and Ronald (Dolores) Lushman; her life long friends Roberta Lettues and Millie Burton; as well as a large circle of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. She will be greatly missed by the many lives she touched. As per Marilyn’s request there will be no church service, there will be a family gathering at a later date. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Eileen Dollimount, Marilyn’s sister for being there for mom and dad while she has been in and out of Corner Brook Hospital for the past two years. A special thanks to all of mom’s nurses for everything they did for mom, and to her health care team in Western Memorial Hospital for your kindness and compassion, it will never be forgotten. Marilyn will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. And a special thank you to Glenn and Laura Hann for all their help at this difficult time.
