It is with great sadness that the family of the late Roy John Lewis announce his passing on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 83 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Laura (Todd) Wiseman, Brenda (Kevin Newhook), Toni (Bill) O’Brien, Roy Jr. (Maureen) Lewis, Terry (Margie) Lewis and Shawn (Collette) Lewis; grandchildren: Leslie, Emily, Amanda, Angela, Melissa, Mark, Jesse, Braeden, Riley and Sarah; great-grandchildren: Alex, Adam, Avery, Thomas and Rylan; sister Joan Sandy; niece Lisa Sandy; caregiver Dora O’Connell; as well as other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Gertrude Lewis and mother Laura Lewis. Cremation has taken place. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Friday from 2-4 p.m. Vaccine Passports, ID and face masks required for entry. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 5 at 10:00 a.m. from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mount Bernard Avenue with Father Edward Terry officiating. Interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Lung Association.
