It is with great sadness that the family of the late Margaret Hancock announce her passing at Charles Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on Friday, August 7th, 2009 at the age of 84 years. Leaving to mourn with loving memories her children Edward (Dale), Gladys Thomas (Sam - deceased), Donald (Jocelyn), Cynthia Hancock (Russell), Robert (Sarah), Richmond (Donna), Bette Wellman (Ward); 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Robert and grandson Ian Wellman. Visitors were received at the United Church in Forteau on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from where the funeral took place on Friday, August 11th at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dean Sellers officiating. Interment followed in the Church Cemetery in Forteau. As expressions of sympathy flowers were graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, L’Anse au Loup.
