JOHN PATRICK PUMPHREY MARCH 17, 1961 … SEPTEMBER 19, 2009 It is with great sadness that the family of the Late John Pumphrey announce his passing as a result of a tragic accident at his home in the Highlands on Friday, September 19th, 2009 at the age of 48 years. He will be very sadly missed by his loving partner Terri MacAuley and daughter Ryley; brothers and sisters: Mary (Tom), Gerry (Lorraine), Brian (Rhoda) of the Highlands, Michael (madeline), Philip (Norma), Geraldine (Ken), Rita (Lloyd) and Edward all of Ontario, Cecilia (David) of Halifax and Joan (Loyola) of South Branch, a large number of nieces, nephews, as well as all the people of Bay St. George South where John was a dynamic Leader and Volunteer. He was predeceased by his parents Michael and Geraldine (Halbot). Visitation will take place Monday from 7 … 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 … 4 and 7 … 9 p.m. at St. Columcille Roman Catholic Church in St. Fintans with the Funeral Mass taking place on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 11a.m., Father Maurice O’Quinn officiating. Internment will follow the service at the family plot at the Highlands. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to St. Columcille Roman Catholic Parish. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing.
