Obituary of Alvin Young

Ramea, NL

December 28, 1949 - March 21, 2022

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Alvin Young on Monday, March 21, 2022 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 72. Leaving to mourn with loving memories his wife Dorothy of 50 years; five sons: James (Jolene), Deon (Christa), Dean (Tanya), Charles (Tasha), Alvin Jr. (Pam); five daughters: Tracey (Garry), Dorothy, Catherine (Ken), Charlotte (Jeff), Valerie (Chris); fifteen grandchildren, that were his pride and joy:  Kristen, Shauna, Jamie, Bradley, Alex, Shannon, Megan, Brendan, Ethan, Devin, Jeffrey, Rosie, Alisha, James and Cailynn; brothers Gerald (Harriet), and James;  sisters-in- law:  Betty, Rose (Albert), Phoebe (George), Blanche (Eph), Daphne (Wayne);  brothers- in- law: Rod (Maryann), and Alvin. He is also leaving to mourn a large circle of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Rosannah and James Young; mother and father-in-law Elizabeth and Arthur Young, his sister Sarah and her husband Harry Bond, brother-in-law Cecil Young, and sister-in-law Marie Young. We hope he is sailing along with his loved ones; talking about his boats and cabins. The Funeral Service will take place at St. Boniface Anglican Church in Ramea NL on Friday, March 25, 2022 at 2:00 pm with Reverend Elsie Rose officiating, followed by the interment at the Church Cemetery.
