MAE GERALDINE (LEGGE) HEDD

June 29, 1934 - March 23, 2022

Mae Geraldine (Legge) Hedd passed away peacefully on March 23, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She will always be remembered as a loving, gentle, funny, spunky, kind, and smart woman of great faith. She knew and remembered family and community connections and had an excellent grasp of local and international affairs. Her memory of songs, rhymes, and all things great and small will be missed. She will be missed as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sibling, and friend.

Mae leaves to mourn her loving husband of 70 years, Woodrow; her children: Lawrence (Diane) Hedd, Jean (David) Young, Karen (Merne) Arsenault, Lori (Ralph) Ball, Susan (Grant) Stuckless; her grandchildren: Jennifer, Suzanne, Vicki, Daniel, Sara, Keshia, Tanya, Tyler, Richard, Ryan, Jillisa and Chloe; her great-grandchildren: Jack, Max, Luke, Aaron, Chelsea, Delilah, Benson, Adrian, Julian,  Kalli  and Clara; her siblings: Byron (Pauline) Farnell, Yvonne (Eddie) King, Helen (Larry) Tulk; cousin and best friend, Clarice; her caregiver, Donna; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a wide circle of friends.

Visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake on Friday, March 25, 2022, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at St. Paul’s United Church, 17 Spruce Street, Deer Lake on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 2 pm. Interment will follow at the Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery.
