It is with great sadness that the family of the late Stanley A.C. Butt Jr.  announce his passing on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 79 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his daughter Stacey (Johnny), New Brunswick; special friend Shirley Butt, New Brunswick; sisters: Ivernia Whynott, Massachusetts and Lucy (Reg) Parsons, Woody Point; sister-in-law Emma Butt, Corner Brook; brother-in-law Malcolm McGregor, St. John’s; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents George and Ivernia Butt, son Shawn Butt, brother George Butt and sister Diana McGregor. A special thank you to the Doctors, nurses and staff at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, 3^rd Floor. Cremation has taken place. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 31 at 2:00 p.m. from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake with Rev. Canon Jeffrey Petten officiating. Interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the COPD Foundation.
