March 21, 1925 – March 30, 2022

It is with great sadness that the family of Edith McCarthy announce her passing at The Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre, Stephenville Crossing on March 30, 2022 at the age of 97 years.

Edith leaves to mourn, her son Thomas McCarthy, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, her daughter-in-law Maime McCarthy.

She was predeceased by her parents Francis Eli Young and Mary Josephine Young (Madore); husband: Thomas Patrick McCarthy and sons:  Jerry McCarthy and Terry McCarthy. 

The family would like to thank the staff at The Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre for their provided care and support for Edith.

Visitation, Thursday, March 31, 2022, 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. & 7:00 – 9:00 P.M. @ Fillatre’s Funeral Home in Stephenville Crossing, NL.  Funeral Service, Friday, April 1, 2022, 10:00 A.M. @ Assumption Parish Roman Catholic Church, Stephenville Crossing, NL with Fr. Edmund Dantes officiating.  Interment  to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Stephenville Crossing, NL.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL.
