It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marie Jones announce her passing on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook, in her 90^th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories daughters: Diane (Jean-Marie) Deknop of Belgium, and Sherry (Mark) Agriesti of St. John’s; two precious grandchildren: Jeffrey and Renee; and step-grandson Koen; brothers: Ed, Winston and Steve; and sisters: Phyllis and Linda. She was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Emeline Gill, and her husband of 57 years, Harold Jones, in May 2018.  Thanks to special friends Linda Miller and Nora Burton and brother-in-law Roy Jones for their support since Harold’s passing and to Rev. Jocelyn Cook and the staff at Lane’s Retirement home in Irishtown. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Saturday, April 2^nd from 7-9 PM and Sunday, April 3^rd from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral Service will take place from Humber United Church on Monday, April 4^th at 10:30 AM with Rev. Jocelyn Cook officiating, internment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation or to a charity of one’s choice.
