 1942 – 2022

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family announces the passing of Patricia (Patsy) Wheeler on March 27, 2022, at the Northern Lights Regional Hospital in Fort McMurray, Alberta at the age of 79.

Patricia leaves to mourn her daughter, Kim; son, Mark; brother, Pamel; sisters, Pauline, and Juanita; grandchildren, Michael, Bryan, Brandon, Savanna, Kaylee, and Elissa; and great-grandchildren, Madison, Logan, Riley, Logan, Leyland, Jaxon.

Patricia is pre-deceased by her parents, Ike and Bride Sheppard; brothers, Rex and Lonzo; husband, Doug; and son, David.

Her greatest supports were Kim, Michael, Bryan and friends Michelle and Mary during her fight. A huge thank-you to all the family and friends for the support during the fight.

As per Patricia’s wishes she will be cremated, and no service will be held for the public. Thank-you for all the calls and well wishes. Patricia will be deeply missed and forever in our thoughts and always in our prayers.

A limb has fallen from the family tree. I hear a voice that whispers,
“Grieve not for me”
Remember the best times,
the laughter, the song.
The good life I lived
while I was strong.
Continue my heritage,
I’m counting on you.
Keep smiling and surely
the sun will shine through.
My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest. Remembering all…
how I truly was blessed.
Continue traditions,
no matter how small.
Go on with your life,
don’t stare at the wall
