Passed away at his home in Fox Roost on Tuesday, September 29th, 2009, Walter Stone, at the age of 77 years. Born at West Point, he was the son of the late Joseph and Hettie (nee McDonald) Stone. He was also predeceased by his brother Wesley. He leaves to mourn his family, sister Ada Stone, Port Aux Basques and brother Cecil (Annie) Stone, Diamond Cove, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will take place on Wednesday and Thursday at St. Augustine’s Church in Fox Roost-Margaree, from where the Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 2nd at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Reverend Duncan Granter. Interment will follow at the Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port Aux Basques.
