MARY ELLEN “NELLIE” GAGNON Corner Brook, NL October 14th, 1918 - September 29th, 2009 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Ellen “Nellie” Gagnon announcer her passing on Tuesday, September 29th, 2009 at Chancellor Park, St. John’s in her 91st year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her sons: Paul (Beth) and Robert Gagnon, daughters: Louise Gagnon, Camille Pennell, Collette (Jacek) Prosniewski and Claire (Bob) Wilson, grandchildren: Mya, Alex, Sandon and Duncan Gagnon, Dillon and Robin Dasilva, Craig and Curtis Pennell, Adrian Gagnon, Heidi Bonnell, Madison Audeau, Nicole Priddle and Michael Gagnon, great-grandchildren: Sarah Pennell, Joshua Spencer-Bradbury, Alex and Jonah Priddle, sisters Agnes Wells and Muriel Honer, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Bobby Gagnon, daughter Annette Gagnon, granddaughter Melissa Gagnon, second husband Stanley O’Brien, her parents and 6 sisters. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Friday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 3rd at 10:30 AM from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mount Bernard Avenue with Monsignor Edwin Gale officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to a Charity of One’s Choice.
