September 2, 1961 – April 19, 2022

It is with great sadness that the family of Alvina Ellen Young announce her peaceful passing in her home surrounded by her children on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at the age of 60 years.

Alvina was a caring, loving, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

She will be loved and missed by her children: Shelly (Trevor), Trista (Robert), Marie (Tyler), Lisa, Cassandra (Andrew), Colin (Vanessa) ; grandchildren: Landen, Jayden, Madison, Sara, Mallory, Jordan, Piper and Hazel as well as 5 sisters, 4 brothers, nieces, nephews, co-workers, and friends.

She was predeceassed by her husband Colin Young and her parents:  Wilfred and Norma Gaudet.

As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted, or a donation may be made to the charity of “The Heart and Stroke Foundation” or “The Canadian Cancer Society”.

Visitation on Friday, April 22, 2022, 7 – 9 pm. Saturday, April 23, 2022, 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 pm. at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL. Service on Sunday, April 24, 3:00 p.m. at the St. Mary The Virgin Anglican Church, St. George’s, NL. Interment to follow at the Non-Denominational Cemetery in St. George’s, NL.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home in Stephenville Crossing, NL.
