Albert Alphonso Coombs

October 15, 1933 – April 23, 2022

Corner Brook, NL

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Albert (Bert) Coombs announce his peaceful passing on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Corner Brook Long Term Care at the age of 88 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife Dinah (nee Hull), of 55 years; son Gregory and daughter Carol Ann (Steven) Trotter; grandchildren: Morgan, Matthew, Kassandra and Matthew (Trotter); great grandchildren: Larry and Leah; sisters, Chris (Bob) and Lynn (Albert);  brothers and sisters-in-law: Nellie, Art (Shirley), Rowena (Junior), Verna (Ronald), Marilyn (Harold), Ray (Debbie), Alma (Reg), Wayne, Dolores, Edward and Ruby, Aunt Marion Hull as well as a very large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Marion, sisters Cavell (Clarence), Marjorie (Lee), Betty (Sterling); brother, George and brothers and sisters-in-law: Katherine, Gordon and Bruce.

Granting his wishes, cremation has taken place. The visitation will be held on Monday, July 25th from 7-9:00 p.m. from Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue, from where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 26th at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Canon David Russell officiating. Interment to follow at Townsite cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.  The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the Doctors and nurses on 2 North, Corner Brook Long Term Care for their compassion and care, especially to Kim for your loving care and the joy you brought to Albert.
