March 3, 1945 – April 25, 2022

Marie Catherine (Keough) Byrne peacefully passed away at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on the morning of April 25, 2022 at the age of 77. Marie was a wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 58 years Joseph Byrne, her children: Yvonne (Robert), Mary (Wade) and Patricia (Terry), her sisters and brothers, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and cousins.

Our mother, our confidant, our friend

our rock, and wife right to the end.

She was always there for someone in need

no matter how big or small it would seem.

We are mourning the loss of a beautiful lady full of compassion and spunk. She loved the little things in life like bingo, games of cards, and spending time with family. When she was not doing things with family and friends, she devoted countless hours to her parish. A Mother’s love is truly a blessing, a devoted wife she was. She will be forever loved and never forgotten. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home 218 Curling Street, Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral mass will be held Wednesday, April 27th at 10:30 am from Sacred Heart Church, Curling Street with Father Jim Robertson officiating. In keeping with her wishes, cremation will follow. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart Parish 465 Curling Street, Corner Brook, NL A2H 3K8
