Obituary of Sandra Joy Mitchell

Sandra Joy Mitchell (Forsey)

May 9, 1956 - April 26, 2022

It is with profound grief and sadness that the family of the late Joy Mitchell announce her peaceful passing after a lengthy illness on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Western Long Term Care in her 66th year. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 46 years Wayne, special niece/daughter Kayla (Nicholas) Tucker, mother Clara Forsey, brothers and sisters: Arch (Patsy), Bill (Rose), Kim (Robin) Taylor, Howard, Vicki (Wayne) Wheeler and Blair. Brothers and Sisters in-law Greg (Lynn), Louise (Rick) Brake, Monty and Dean (Patty), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Predeceased by her father William Forsey, Grandparents Arch and Evelyn Biggin, John and May Forsey, mother and father-in-law Renee and Les Mitchell. Joy loved spending time at the cabin/trailer with family and friends, playing cards, reading a good book, crosswords and spending time at the duck hole canoeing enjoying one of her lifelong passions of trout fishing with her best buddy Cathy Murley. The Family would like to thank all the staff on still waters for their outstanding care and support. To honour and respect her wishes, cremation has taken place, there will be no formal service. As expressions of Sympathy in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or SPCA.
