We the family of the late Arthur Fraser Toope wish to thank all who offered food, support, condolences and messages during our recent loss. We were surrounded by many friends, family and church members. Our thanks to Reverend Jocelyn Cook, Mabel Tiller for the eulogy, Bill Crocker for the solo, organist, pallbearers, choir and Fillatre’s for their professionalism. Thank you to staff and management of Corner Brook Long Term Care 2 North for their care during his stay.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Arthur Fraser Toope announce his passing on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Corner Brook Long Term Care at the age of 90 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Calvin Toope (Violet), Rhoda Morgan (Wayne) and Valda Dewling (David); grandchildren: Duane Dewling and Adam Morgan (Robyn); great-granddaughter Lily Morgan; sister Blanche Wells; brother John C. Toope (Peggy); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Aletha Toope (nee White), parents Henry Charles and Elsie Maude Toope and many brothers and sisters. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Monday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 17 at 11:00 a.m. from Memorial United Church, Curling with Rev. Jocelyn Cook officiating. Family are requesting any visitors to please wear a face covering. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
