Dear Alexis and Emily, Elaine and David, dear Kristina and Amanda, Steph, Scott, Steve,
I remember Eugene really well as someone I simply felt was a kindred spirit when I was lucky enough to be Glenda's and Steve's daughter for a year in 2007-08 as an exchange student from abroad. He was my "Canadian cousin" and even though we only met a few times, I remember hanging out in his room, him teaching me something in English (I told a friend about this just the other day) and hoping to get to know him better as I just liked the kind of person he was - he was curious, sensitive and thought a little bit outside of the box. I'm sorry I didn't keep in touch more but thank you, Eugene, for being such a great person back then, and thank you, Elaine and family, for allowing me to send a few words and tell you that you still mean a lot to me as my "Canadian aunt and uncle". I think of you all especially at this time and I miss Glenda and Eugene, they are the type of people who stay with everyone they have met. We all have limited time, but there are moments and relationships that make us live forever. I hope you can hold on to that.
I am sending all my love. Cornelia (and the rest of the Pürschel family who are sending all of their love as well).
