It is with great sadness that the family of the late William Thomas Lewis announce his passing on Wednesday, October 14th, 2009 in Howley at the age of 80 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his loving wife of 59 years Lucy (nee Samms); 5 sons: Dave (Barbara), Fred (Sharon), Roger (Anne), Max (Debbie) and Harold (Linda); grandchildren: Jason (Krista), Marika Wiseman (Michael), Heather, Cindy Leslie (Andy), Monique, Holly, Leslie and Vickie; great-grandchildren: Chelsea, Bella, Erika, Matthew, Jack and William; sister Margaret Young, sister-in-law Eileen Parsons, he will be sadly missed by special friends Dulcie and Rendell Loder, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Ethel and William Lewis, son Tony, granddaughter Tracy and daughter-in-law Hedy. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM and Saturday 2-4 PM. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 18th at 2:00 PM from St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church, Curling with Rev. Karen Laldin officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Lung Association.
