Obituary of John Framp
John Framp
August 6, 1943 - May 26, 2022
It is with profound sorrow that the family of the late John Framp announce his peaceful passing on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville, at the age of 78 years.
He will be remembered always with loving memories by his devoted wife of 53 years, Linda (nee Cluett), daughter Michelle, son Christopher John (Heidi) and the lights of his life; his reason for ice cream, Poppy jokes and talks about school; his two granddaughters, Taylor and Megan. He will be missed and forever cherished by sister Melita (Dave Foote), brothers-in-law Fred Cluett (Anne Marie) and Chris Cluett (Elsie), sisters-in-law Loretta (Gary Unsworth), and Dorothy (Clyde Cluett) along with a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
Dad was a devoted educator and volunteer, a talented orator and entertainer, all skills he passed on to his children and grandchildren. He loved all sports, especially those he shared with his son Chris, whether it was hockey school and badminton in the early years, watching a hockey game, swinging a golf club or, in recent years, talking about the teams Chris was coaching at school. He loved books, music, walks, and the occasional political talk - all activities that his girls (Michelle, Taylor, Megan) would happily share with him. For years his life was filled with happy moments in the sun, travelling with Mom to Florida (or an all-inclusive) with their favorite travelling companions, Don and Joyce, Fred and Ann and many more wonderful friends. He was a committed and proud member of the Canam Masonic Lodge, the Lions Club and his favorite group of singing friends, the Scuds.
Our sorrow today is eased by knowing that Dad is surrounded by those he loved that left us all too soon, Viv, Art, Clyde, Don and his own parents, Mary and Arthur.
