It is with great sadness that the family of the late Shirley Yvonne Parys announce her passing on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at the Health Science Centre in St. John’s at the age of 66 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Ted Parys; children: Peter (Sandy) Yates and Sandi Yates; grandsons: Ethan and Nickolas Yates; brothers and sisters: Derek (Judy) Young, Ena (Fred) Fudge, Bernice (Albert) Ryland, Charlie (Christine) Young and Terry (Barbara) Young; her fury babies EllieMae and Prancer; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Charles and Catherine Young and infant brother George. A very special thank you to the Neurosurgery Team and ICU of the Health Science Centre in St. John’s. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Wednesday, June 1 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 2 at 2:00 p.m. from All Saints’ Anglican Church, Clarence Street with Rev. Tanya White officiating. Interment to follow at Townsite Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to All Saints’ Anglican Church Memorial Fund.
