Obituary of David Junior Pittman

David Junior Pittman of Port Saunders, NL

March 13, 1953 – June 2, 2022

It is with love and sadness the family of  Dave Pittman announce his passing at the age of 69 at the Rufus Guinchard Health Centre after a brave battle with cancer. 

Leaves to mourn with loving memories wife Audrey of 34 years,daughter Danielle (Justin) Cornick, grandson William and granddaughter Natalie, siblings Eric (Ella), Irene, Edna (Tom), Bill (Gloria), Pauline (Gordon), Judy (Kevin) and Ella (Seymour), parents-in-law Lillian and Hayward Elliott, in-laws Martin (Nancy), Gordon (Monika) and Michelle (Robert) and a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Dave was predeceased by parents Lillian and Augustus Pittman, sister Gladys (Wilson) Payne, brother-in-law Lloyd Decker, as well as nephews Larry and Barry.

As per Dave's wishes cremation has taken place.  Visitation will be held on Saturday 6:00 - 9:00 with the funeral service on Sunday at 2:00, both at the St. John the Divine Anglican Church in Port Saunders with interment to follow at the Interfaith Cemetery Sandy Cove. In lieu of flowers donations will be gifted to a charity of the family's choice.

Family request masks to be worn.

The family would like to thank the hospital staff at Rufus Health Guinchard Centre, Western Memorial Hospital and the Health Sciences Centre for their care and compassion during Dave's time there.  Special thanks too, for the ongoing support and concern of family and friends these past months.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatres Funeral Home.
