Obituary of Olive Mary Manuel

Olive Mary Manuel
February 10, 1957 – June 9, 2022

It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Olive Mary Manuel announce her passing at the age of 65 on June 9, 2022, at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Unit.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, her husband of 31 years Brian Manuel; son Tyler (Heather) Manuel; grandchildren Avalin and Logan; brothers Phillip (Brenda) O’Neill and Neil (Kim) O’Neill; special nephew Cody O’Neill; aunts Ella Martinek, Kay Russell, and Rita (Frazer)Moore; mother-in-law Gwen Manuel; sisters-in-laws Sandra (Kyle) Parsons, Lois (Jim) Green and Diane (Chris) Alexander; nephews Jonathon and Matthew; nieces Nancy, Laura, Susan, Amanda, and Kimberly; her fur baby Max; special friends Ann and Ruth; and a loving circle of other family and friends.

Olive was predeceased by her parents Jerome and Olivine O’Neill; baby sister Kathleen; and father-in-law Calvin Manuel.

Olive loved being active. She enjoyed all church activities, trips to the cabin, rides on quad, and berry picking to name a few. She was a long-time member of CWL and a volunteer with the Canadian Red Cross. Her family would like to thank the staff of 4 South at Corner Brook Long Term Care for their care and compassion during her stay.

A visitation will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake on June 11^th, 2022, from 7-9 pm and on June 12^th, 2022, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 21 Upper Nicholsville Road, Deer Lake on June 13^th, 2022, at 10:30 am. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations can be made to Alzheimer Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.
