William (Bill) Edward Brake

It is with great sadness that the family of the late William (Bill) Edward Brake announce his passing on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at Corner Brook Long Term Care at the age of 90 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Elizabeth (Raymond) Riggs, Halifax; Bill Brake, Diane Davis, Joy Webb and Tony (Karen) Brake all of Corner Brook; 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; sister Elizabeth Meade; brother Freeman (Maisie) Brake and sister-in-law Dorothy Brake; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Madeline Brake, daughter Madonna Parsons, sons Robert, Stanley, Michael and Gary Brake, son-in-law Wayne Davis, parents William and Beatrice Brake, brothers Frank (Annie) Brake, Harvey Brake, John Brake and Stanley (Jean) Brake, sisters Edna (Otto) Brake, Olive (Les) Park, Marjorie (Alexander) Park, Eileen (Llew) Brett, Lillian (Jack) Loder, Bertha (Joe) Davis, Vivian (Llew) Neil, Susie March, brother-in-law Ken Meade, parents-in-law Madge and Peter Barry, brother-in-law John (Mae) Barry. Visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Wednesday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Cremation to follow. The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 17 at 11:00 a.m. From All Saints’ Anglican Church, Clarence Street with the Very Rev. Catherine Short officiating.  Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. The family are requesting that visitors wear a face covering to both the visitation and funeral service. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association.
