James “Jim” Rumbolt

It is with great sadness the family announce the peaceful passing of James (Jim) Henry Rumbolt 83, of Port Aux Choix Newfoundland, on June 16th, 2022 at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre.

Jim was born in Port Aux Choix on November 26, 1938, son of the late Joseph Rumbolt and Mary Gaslard. He is survived by his 4 daughters and their spouses. Karen Derouin (Steve),Sandra Rumbolt (Paul), Daphane Araujo, Tania Rumbolt, and his 2 sons Ken Rumbolt (predeceased) and Shane Rumbolt.

Jim was brother to Trevor (predeceased), Pat (Louise), Joe (Pearl), Christine (Sam, predeceased),Annie (Frank), Melita (Frank), Bertha (Pius), Gus (predeceased) Helena), Alex (Geraldine predeceased), Helen (Lambert) and Peter (Jean).

Jim was a grandfather to Christine, Shara, Caitlin, Macey, Rylie, Corey, Christian, Joshua, Jake, Chase, Tyler and Saila Ann.

Jim was a devoted family man and a loyal friend who treasured the company of family members and loved ones. Jim loved the outdoors and the countless hours spent at his cabin.

Jim will always be remembered as a loyal and kind man who lived life with the highest level of integrity. He had a wonderful sense of humour and always had a twinkle in his eye.

Jim remained a true gentleman until the very end and will be fondly remembered and gratefully missed by many.

He will also be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, great grandchildren and great friends. 

Visitation will be held Tuesday June 21, 2022 from 2:00 pm till 4:00 pm and a second visitation at 7:00 pm till 9:00 pm. at Saint Theresa Roman Catholic Church, Port au Choix, NL. 

Funeral Service will be held at Saint Theresa Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday June 22, 2022 at 11:00am.  Father Raj officiating.
