Obituary of Lillian Belle Park

Please share a memory of Lillian to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful mother Lillian Belle Park.  Mom gained her wings on the beautiful sunny, Sunday afternoon of June 26th, 2022.  She was in her 96th year when God called her home.

Leaving to mourn with many loving and precious memories: children,  Linda (Ralph), Kay (Michael), Darryll and Robert. Her grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Dion (Helen), Kelly (Mark), Blaine, Chad and Ashley (Christopher).  Her four precious great grandchildren whom she cherished, Kenzie, Marcus, Gracie and Austin.  One sister Maime Childs, sister in law Vida Gough, brother-in-law and sister-in-law John and Ruby Park.  Also  many special nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own.

Predeceased by her parents, Benjamin and Cassandra (Wheeler) Robinson, husband Bertram Park (1994), sisters, Mary Jane Childs (Llewelyn), Christina Darrigan (Max), Ruby Pennell (Jack), Frances Jesso ( Ernest), Margaret Byrne (Mark).  Brothers: Benjamin Robinson, John Robinson (Vida), George Robinson (Rosetta), William Robinson (Lillian), Albert Strickland (Elizabeth), Walter Strickland (Jenny).  Father and mother in law William James and Mary Ethel Park.  Mom was also predeceased by many special brothers and sisters in law,  all of whom she cared deeply about.

Mom was a very special lady, she was kind, caring and compassionate.  She was affectionately known by many as “Aunt Lill”  and made all who entered her home feel welcome.  She was also known by her family for her wittiness and we will always remember the laughter she bought to our lives.  Thank you my beautiful mama for all the love, wisdom and guidance you gave us, we will miss you beyond words.  Fly high with the angels my darling mamma, until we meet again on that beautiful shore.

A special thank you to the nurses and Doctors at Western Long term palliative care unit who made mom’s journey home so comfortable and peaceful for her.  Your kindness and compassion will always be remembered.  Also a very special thank you to all of mom’s home support workers (past and present) who took such excellent care of her over the past few years, especially Laurie Ann Joyce and Gloria Childs who provided  mom with such exemplary care.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all you did for her.
