Louise Mary White

November 5, 1927 - June 27, 2022

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother, Louise White, at the age of 94 years.  She passed peacefully at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital on June 27, 2022.

Mom was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She leaves to mourn her children:  Jo (David) Gooch, Joan (Rob) Davis, Daniel (Peggy), Cathy (Gordon) Baker, Celia (Joe) Brennan and Dale (Dave) Butler, 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren as well as her only surviving sibling, her sister Stella Parsons, in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.

She is predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Mary Brake, husband Cletus, daughter Daphne, son-in-law David, 5 brothers and 1 sister.

Mom enjoyed reading, gardening, puzzles, rummoli, card games, BINGO, family gatherings, Facebook and was an extensive traveler. She was a lifelong volunteer with the Altar Society and the Women’s Institute.  Mom was fondly known as LouLou to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren as well as countless others.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to the Staff at the Acadian Village Retirement Home, Stephenville for the care and attention extended to her during her stay.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Assumption Parish Cemetery.

Visitation on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Fillatre’s Funeral Home in Stephenville Crossing, NL. Funeral service on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, 2:00 p.m. at the Assumption Parish Catholic Church in Stephenville Crossing with Fr. Edmund Dantes officiating.  Interment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Brook Street, Stephenville Crossing.
