February 28, 1934 – June 30, 2022
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dorothy Pink announce her passing on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at the Calder Healthcare Centre in Burgeo, at the age of 88.
She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Audrey Carroll (Albert), Mildred McDonald (Dave), Don Pink, (Betty); her four grandchildren: Lee McDonald (Dawn), Michael Carroll (Cheryl), Jeffrey McDonald (Theresa), Danny Pink (Brynlie); her great-grandchildren: Dylan McDonald, Jayden Carroll, Mady McDonald, Megan Carroll, Cohen Pink; her brothers Austin Keeping, Walter Keeping (Betty), Ron Keeping (Bernice), sister-in-law Ida Keeping; nieces and nephews Barbara, Cathy, Lisa, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Rodney, Sharon, Marion, Grace, Juanita and Christine; special family friends Margaret Jane and Roy, as well as many other relatives and friends.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Thomas Pink, parents Norman and Catherine Keeping, parents-in-law John and Jessie Pink, baby sister Mary, brother Nathan, sisters-in-law Sadie Keeping and Susie Williams, and brother-in-law Archie Williams.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Calder Healthcare Centre in Burgeo and the Mountainview Retirement Home, Corner Brook for the great care given to mom over the past 8 years.
There will be a visitation held at St. Boniface Anglican Church, Ramea on Saturday, July 2nd from 7-9 p.m. and on Sunday, July 3rd from 2-4 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Monday, July 4th at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Brenda Strickland officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Western Health Foundation, or a charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home.
