Mary A. Janes

December 18, 1933 – July 8, 2022

It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of our mom, Mary Janes on Friday, July 8, 2022 at Western Long Term Care (Palliative Care) at the age of 88. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her daughters: Melinda Burt (Harry), Theresa George (Don), Gloria Edmonds (Wayne), Angela Temple (Roy), Joy Hutchings, Jean Kendell (Kevin), Ada Moores (Byron), Kim Janes (Glenn); grandchildren: Angela, Jennifer, Jerry, Tony, Jeff, Tammy, Brandi, Michelle, DJ, Nikki, Kerri-Lee, Melissa, Jessica and Kyle; great grandchildren: Teagan, Blake, Leah, Luke, Emily, Heidi, Sara, Nathan, Julianna, Ethan, Cohen, Lilly, Kaleb, Avarie, Zaden, Matthew and Kailey; sister-in-law Theresa White and numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.  Mary was predeceased by her husband George Janes in 1988, children June and Jerry, grandsons Ryan and Kenny, great grandsons Dylan and Glen Buckle jr, parents John and Elizabeth White, brothers Pius, Joe, Angus and Howard and sister Margaret. Special thank you to the wonderful staff at Palliative Care and to caregivers Betty, Kimberly and Nikki, your care and compassion meant the world to us.  Memorial visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home 218 Curling Street Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A private family funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 12^th at 10:30 am, this will be live streamed on Fillatre Funeral Homes Ltd. Facebook page. Interment will follow at Our Lady Star of the Sea Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of one’s choice.
