It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marjorie Larkin, surrounded by her loved ones on July 9, 2022 at Western Long Term Care (Palliative Unit) in her 80^th year.

Leaving to mourn sons: William (Brenda), Terry, Shawn (Linda), Robert (Beverly), Paul (Ellen); daughters: Shirley (Ron), Sandra (Craig) and twins Tammy (Corey) and Tracy (Alfred); sisters: Marion and Sarah; 19 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Roy, daughters Julie and Marilyn, son-in-law Merle, parents William and Mariam, brothers Harold, William, Fred and Walter, sisters Hazel and Irene.

Marjorie was born in Lark Harbour, NL and spent most of her life there raising her family. She will be remembered for her love of family, her years of knitting socks and mitts and making batches of bread. In later years she enjoyed watching her game shows, scratching her tickets and playing her trouble game.

Special thanks to her homecare worker for all your kindness as well as the staff of Mountainview house during her short stay there. We would also like to thank Dr. Thompkins and the staff at the cancer care center in St. Johns and staff of Palliative care in Corner Brook. Your care and compassion will be forever remembered.

Visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home 4 St. Mark’s Avenue Tuesday from 10:00 am – 12:00 noon, followed by the Funeral Service at 1:00 pm with Reverend Effie Organ officiating and interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. Flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to St. James Church Lark Harbour.

Friends and family are welcome to join us after the service at 228 Main Street, York Harbour commencing at 6:00 pm.
