Obituary of Philip Mugford

Philip Christopher Mugford (Phil) 71 of Happy Valley Goose Bay, passed peacefully away at Labrador Health Center with his family by his side on Thursday July 21st, 2022, after a battle with cancer. 

Born in Roddicton, NL on the Northern peninsula January 10th, 1951, to Thomas and Delphine Mugford. He had 14 siblings and Married Marilyn the love of his life on December 27th,1972 in Bide arm NL. Moving to Labrador for work in 1974 he made Happy Valley Goose Bay his home Working as a carpenter and raising his family.  Labrador was his home and when he wasn’t working, he enjoyed fishing. He truly loved fishing out in the channel or his favourite place in Lobstick. 

Leaving to mourn his wife Marilyn (Randell) of 49 years; Son Deon Bushey; Daughters Melissa Mugford, Myrna Gillam (Dion), Michelle Mugford, Melinda Mugford, Mandy Mugford (Jeffery Montague); Grand Children Mason Mugford, Brittany Mugford, Chantelle Fowler, Cody Mugford, Riley Anthony, Tamara Anthony, Blaire Gillam, Broc Gillam and Maddox Montague; Great Grandchildren Scarlett, Quinton, Noah, Elliott, Ben, Gabriella, Emery, Everleigh; Mother Delphine Richards (Hancock); Siblings Mae Richards, David Mugford (Patsy), Harrison Mugford (Gail), Patsy Dionne (Zoell), Regina Humby (Reg), Charlie Mugford (Cecilia), Paul Mugford (Tabitha), Barbara Carroll (Max), Theresa Keefe (Earl), Sharon Humby (Leroy), Gladys Reid (David), Ann Marie Stacey (Jason); Siblings-in-law Bob Randell (Betty), Colin Randell, Garry Randell, Lloyd Randell (Tamer), Pennie Randell, Eric Randell, Kasper (Tracy), Boyd (Marlene), Marsha.

Phil was predeceased by his Father Thomas Mugford; Sisters Joan Mugford, Ellen Mugford; Grand parents Aaron and Ellen (Blanchard)Hancock, Robert and Hannah Mugford; Uncle Leander Hancock; Brother-in-law Clifford Richards; Nephew Dana Richards; Father-in-law Kenneth Randell; Brother-in-law Dilys Randell 

Friends may visit at Fillatre’s Funeral Home on Saturday July 23^rd, 2022 from 1:00 to 3:00 and from 5:00 to 7:00. Funeral Service will be held on Monday July 25^th, 2022 at 11:00 at the Bethel Pentecostal Tabernacle in Happy Valley Goose Bay with Paster Russell Austin officiating. Interment to follow at the Pentecostal Cemetery. Reception to follow after graveside service at the Masonic Lodge.  Pallbearers; Danny White, John White, Mason Mugford, Cody Mugford, Lindsey Anderson, Roland Morris
