It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alma Lorraine Park announce her sudden passing on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at her daughters home in McIvers where she resided for the past year at the age of 81 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Pauline (Eddie) Morgan, McIvers, Gloria (Murray) Ricketts, McIvers, Rhonda (Ray) Squires, Corner Brook, Carol Ann (Pradeep) Waghmare, Corner Brook and Cory Park (April), Ontario; 11 grandchildren: Trina, Adam, Lynette, Andrew, Matthew, Michael, Sachin, Kaetan, Nitara, Brooklyn and Colby; 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson; 2 special girls Jenna and Julian whom she thought of as granddaughters; sister Alice (Warden) Skinner, Isle aux Morts; sister-in-law Marjorie Park, Gillams; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Howard Park, 1998, daughters Eleanor and Florence Park, parents William and Amelia Wheeler, brothers Clayton (June) Wheeler, Fiander Wheeler, Harry Wheeler, sisters Mary (George) Kendell, Bertha (Bernard) Penney and special niece Cora House. A very special thank you to Dr. Slipp for all her care and concern over the past few years. Friends may visit St. James Anglican Church in Gillams on Wednesday from the hours of 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 5 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Kay Osmond officiating. Interment to follow at Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Meadows. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
