November 6, 1950 – August 15, 2022

It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Genevieve Helen King,  announce her passing on August 15, 2022 at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville at the age of 71years.

She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her sons:  Lawrence Alexander (Sam), Maurice Alexander (Catherine); siblings:  Hilliard King, Brian King, (Paula), Barbara Martin (Claude), Robin Bennett (Dwayne), Garfield Simmonds (Sabina); step-father Garfield Simmonds; grandsons:  Steven Rideout (Acadiana), Mark Alexander (Kristy), Austin Alexander; great-grandchildren:  Elliana, Emerson, Charlotte, Dakota, Jazon; ex-husband and special friend Ernest Alexander and a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and special friends.

She was predeceased by her parents Joseph King and Anita Simmonds King, brother Gordon King and grandson Lawrence Rideout.

Respecting Genevieve’s wishes, cremation will take place.  Visitation, Friday, August 26, 2022 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.  Funeral service, Saturday, August 27, 2022, 11:00 A.M. at the Assumption Parish, Stephenville Crossing, with Fr. Maurice O’Quinn officiating.  Inurnment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Brook Street, Stephenville Crossing, NL.
