It is with great sadness that the family of the late Norman “Norm” Wallace Poole announce his passing at his home on Saturday, August 20th, 2022 due to natural causes at the age of 75 years.

Norm will be greatly missed by his wife of 54 years, Agatha nee Joyce; his children: Kelly, Norman (Sherry), Sarah (Shannon); and his grandchildren: Nathan, Andrew, Katherine, N.J., Gracie, Joshua, and Jonah and his brothers in-law Max  and Jack (Clara), and sister in-law Peggy as well as a circle of Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends. They will forever miss his laughter and jokes.

Norm is predeceased by his parents, Henry and Laura (nee McDonald), and his sisters, Vera (Bernard) and Abigail. He is survived by his siblings: Allan (Shirley), Sarah (Jack), Loretta (Gerard), and Kelvin. And also predeceased by his brothers and sisters in-law George, Grace, Fletch and Mary.

Norm worked as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for his entire career, working for Lundrigan’s for many years. He worked all over Newfoundland, Labrador, and New Brunswick throughout his life, and he made friends everywhere he went. Eventually he started his own company, “Norm’s Mobile Mechanic.” Norm enjoyed when family and friends would come by for a visit. He loved spending time with his beloved dog, Summer.

A funeral service will be held in his honor at 10:30 AM  on Thursday, August 25th  at Sacred Heart Parish church with Fr. Anthony Anh officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 24th from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m from Fillatre's Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street. Family request that masks be worn for the visitation.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
